
Flemish Dissertation Award
Students from Flemish University Colleges or Universities can subscribe to the dissertation award and win €2500! BAMA-students have to write a fluent journalistic article about their thesis and Scriptie vzw spreads the actual articles in national newspapers and magazines. The thesises are also published in an Online Dissertation Bank, which boosts their future career. On average 500 people a day gratefully use the databank for their research.
Eos, Agoria, Klasse-award

Dissertation within the field of the exact sciences, or a subject related to technology and innovation or education can enter respectively the "Eos", "Agoria", or "Klasse" Award. Tick the right box when filling in the registration form of the Flemish Dissertation Award and perhaps win two awards!
Previous year
Last year Hannes Pieters of the University of Ghent won the prestigious Flemish Dissertation Award. The desirable prize was awarded by Ingrid Lieten, Minister of Media and Innovation, under the watchful eye of Her Majesty Queen Paola. A report of the evening can be found here.

The Belgian research foundation FWO grants two awards, saluting excellent theses that contribute to research in specific technological domains. More information.
Reading Association
The Reading Association Thesis Prize worth €2500 is a joint initiative of the Reading Association of Belgium and the Netherlands. The prize is awarded to the author of the best dissertation on reading and the promotion of reading. Last year, the prize was won by the winner of our own "Klasse" Award, Annick De Vylder. Minister builds bridges
The ‘Extreme Blue- project’ is a joint initiative of the Flemish government and IBM, the world's largest ICT-company. Together, they want to facilitate research accessibility for Flemish small and medium-sized businesses. This will enable academics as well as entrepreneurs to keep up with the latest changes in the field of research and development. The project offers four graduating students the chance to help build a better and more accessible information network in Flanders.
