De muzikaliteit van de simultaantolk kan haar/zijn werk vergemakkelijken. In bijzonder wanneer zij/hij levenslang een muziekinstrument bespeelt. Vandaag kennen we de vele voordelen van cognitieve flexibiliteit die in het bijzonder het moeilijke mentale werk van de tolk kunnen ondersteunen.
Bovendien hebben muzikale vaardigheden overdraagbare competenties in tal van andere domeinen. Onderzoek is tamelijk recent en moet worden uitgebreid gezien de talrijke aspecten rond muziek.

Deze bachelorproef gaat over medicinale cannabis. Het geeft extra theoretische informatie omtrent medicinale cannabis zoals indicaties, contra-indicaties, bijwerkingen, ect. Het tweede luik geeft extra informatie naar verpleegkundigen toe. Wat is hun taak/rol, wat kunnen zij betekenen voor de patiënt ...

Een (ernstige) chronische ziekte of een acute, zelfs kleine ingreep kan er toe leiden dat patiënten de zin van het leven en/of hun geloof of levensbeschouwing in vraag stellen. Veel zorgvragers hebben op zo'n moment nood aan ondersteuning van degenen die het dichtst bij hen (en hun bed) staan. Uit onderzoek blijkt echter dat veel verpleegkundigen vaak niet weten hoe ze moeten omgaan met zinvragen, onmacht... binnen de zorgcontext. In deze masterproef worden drie sporen uitgetekend om verpleegkundigen hierin te ondersteunen.

This research set out to systematically and empirically assess the harms of contemporary Nigerian-based piracy across multiple bearers and interest dimensions. To do so, an innovative harm assessment framework, developed by Greenfield and Paoli (2013) was employed. The assessment framework, a multi-step exercise comprised of distinct analytical phases and processes, required the articulation of business models for each of the primary modes of Nigerian-based piracy, the identification of possible harms and bearers, the evaluation of the incidence and severity of actual harms, the rating and prioritization of harms and finally, investigating potential causes of the identified harms. To do so, a mixed-methods approach was employed relying on both primary and secondary data sources. Methods included an extensive literature review, content analysis of over 400 piracy incident reports and semi-structured interviews.

 
This thesis describes how the social-ecological system around the Mara wetlands has changed during the previous five decades. These wetlands are mainly fed by the Mara River, which has its sources in the Kenyan Mau Escarpment. After flowing through two worldfamous wildlife parks (Serengeti and Maasai Mara), it continues in the downstream Tanzanian Mara wetlands and finally flows out in Lake Victoria.
The major focus of this thesis is on how the riparian Wakenye people in Northwest Tanzania have adapted their livelihoods to the changing context.
